This year's Office 365 and SharePoint Connect conference in Haarlem, with four full day workshops alongside a packed agenda of sessions, is getting close. Delegates registering before August 31 can save €379 with the Early Bird discount and our exclusive I Programmer code. The conference, which this year runs from November 13-15, is in its 8th year, with many delegates returning year on year. One reason for the popularity is because the small number of delegates (around 400) means delegates get to spend time with the speakers and network with speakers and other delegates. The organizers also limit the number of sponsors to around 20 which prevents delegates being overly waylaid by sales people. This year's line-up includes speakers from Microsoft alongside MCMs and MVPs, with highlights starting with the four all-day workshops. The developer focused workshop is Developing Apps with Office, SharePoint and Azure, given by Eric Shupps (The SharePoint Cowboy). This covers ground from SharePoint add-ins to Azure web applications, and looks at the how, when, where and why to use each development model. The pros and cons of each option are discussed, and deep-dive demonstrations show each in use. Another workshop is a power class on best practices for on-premises and hybrid SharePoint. Popular MVP Jasper Oosterveld's all-day workshop is on how to implement the modern workplace with Microsoft 365, while Serge Luca and Ahmed Naijar's workshop covers learning PowerApps and Microsoft Flow in a day. Once into the conference, sessions are available aimed at developers, business and infrastructure. Some for developers that look good include an introduction to Azure Web Applications for Office and SharePoint Developers by Eric Shupps, and PowerApps: and another on building custom forms for SharePoint with Azure Maps, given by Bram de Jager, lead architect at Delaware. MVP Elio Struyf's session on how to accelerate your SharePoint Framework development by use of the PnP reusable controls looks another very relevant session for developers wanting to take their SharePoint further. The range of topics covered is impressive - another session for developers that looks good is Working with Bots in Teams. Teams is an addition to the Microsoft Collaboration sphere, and this session has lots of demos by Albert-Jan Schot of Maven and Rick Van Rousselt of Advantive, showing how to build bots, and what the bot framework is for. Alongside the sessions and workshops on Office 365 SharePoint, Azure, One drive, and Teams, there will also be news and announcements from Microsoft ignite. The conference is being held in Haarlem Netherlands, which is only 15 minutes from Schiphol Airport and 20 minutes from the center of Amsterdam. The agenda is live on the website, and if you register before August 31st you can save €379 with the Early Bird discount saving and iProgrammer unique discount code, IPROGSG20. This can be used used for both the workshops and the conference .
