As well as celebrating its worldwide community, this month's Joomla Magazine has help for users of 1.5 who want to make the move to the current stable version, 2.5.

Scanning through the contents list for this month's Joomla Community Magazine the article that attracted my attention was one by Tan Bui that shows how to convert a Joomla 1.5 template to a Joomla 2.5 native compatible one. Taking the simple supplied template "rhuk_milkyway" as an example it illustrates the process step-by-step.

Gabe Wahhab has two more eminently practical articles this month: 6 Powerful Tips for Every Multilingual Websites and 5 Steps Towards Successful Time Management which is applicable more widely than just web design and development.

One of the three feature stories in this issue marks the launch of the new Joomla Events Website which uses Google maps to show the locations of events throughout the world. One of the currently featured events is the JandBeyond Conference taking place 18th-20th May 2012 in Bad Nauheim, Hessen, Germany.
