There's a new Enterprise Edition of dbForge Studio for MySQL with a data generator and database documenter. The new edition also includes all the features in the Professional edition. Devart's dbForge Studio for MySQL is an IDE for MySQL management, administration, development, data reporting and analysis. It can be used to carry out database changes, version control database changes in source control systems, and speed up routine tasks. There's a free Express edition that lets you work with schema objects, user accounts, SQL scripts, maintenance wizard, and queries; a Standard edition that adds a stored routine debugger, query builder, code snippets, and object search. The Professional edition supports database projects; schema comparison; data comparison; debugging stored procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts; creation of complex queries; and intelligent SQL coding. Most expensive and comprehensive is the new Enterprise edition at $399 per annum, with the data generator and documenter.
The other versions of dbForge Studio for MySQL have also been updated with better Data Import and Export, Data Comparison, and Database Backup. The Data Generator in the Enterprise edition generates test data for you, and populates the database with it. The Database Documenter generates database documentation in HTML, PDF, and Markdown file formats. The other main extra feature in the Enterprise edition is the ability to copy a database or set of databases by generating and running a script. The new edition supports MariaDB 10.1 and 10.2, the MariaDB Galera Cluster 10.0 Series, Google Cloud Platform, Alibaba Cloud, and Azure MySQL. It supports a number of Table engines, including TokuDB, NDBCLUSTER, and RocksDB. The data export and import options now include support for JSON data, and better support for XML data import and export. If you choose to generate an UPDATE script using the Data Import wizard, you get the option to preview it, and there's better recognition of column types when importing data from the Excel format. All the versions are available to test or buy on the Devart website.
