App Hub is the subscription website created by Microsoft for developers who want to create marketable apps for Windows Phone 7 and Xbox LIVE. To those who join for a $99 USD annual subscription, App Hub offers free tools - a download that includes Visual Studio 2010 Express, the Windows Phone Emulator, XNA Game Studio 4.0, Microsoft Expression Blend for Windows Phone, Silverlight, and .NET Framework 4; sample code and community support. Microsoft is planning to add educational resources to help develop apps and games for Windows Phone and Xbox 360. Members can also submit apps and games to App Hub for sale or free download in the Windows Phone Marketplace or Xbox LIVE Marketplace. A personalized dashboard allows members to manage merchandising, track downloads, and keep track of how much they are earning.
