Windows Phone & Apps showcase - hours of fun for all the family. If this is the trailer I can't wait for the phone...
A brief note on Rachel Collier's UK MSDN blog alerted us the rapidly expanding showcase of Windows Phone 7 Apps on You Tube. Currently there are 33 trailers, the majority of which are games. The list includes some old chestnuts a Towers of Hanoi and a FrogAttack, others are action-packed shooting games. The fact that most of the examples are clearly recycled ideas, and most probably recycled code, isn't too surprising given the very short time that the Phone tools have been available. Here's hoping that there are some more serious and innovative apps soon after the launch.
For the record there doesn't seem to be a snake game among them so you could still beat our own Harry Fairhead to the post. See: Windows Phone 7 - Snakes on a Phone Part 1. If my reaction, and the reactions of the people posting comments on the site, is anything to go by, the video tasters certainly bring on the "I want one" reaction - which can't be bad for developers.
