With the ink hardly dry on the pages of the EU Ethical AI Guidelines manifest, a free online course exploring the issues they raise is already in prospect on the openSAP platform. Run by members of the very same group, the European Union’s High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence, who wrote the guidelines and in cooperation with SAP's online education platform, a course with the title Creating Trustworthy and Ethical Artificial Intelligence has been made accessible to anyone with an interest on AI or ML: Creating trustworthy and ethical artificial intelligence is made requires an understanding not only of the technology itself, but also the societal and ethical conditions present, and how to appropriately account for and assess their impact on the way AI is designed, built, and tested, and the way we interact with it As already mentioned the course is addressed to stakeholders who design, develop, deploy, implement, use, and interact with AI or are affected by it, but also to the wide public as previous experience on the topic is desired but not required.
The course commences on June 25 and lasts 4 weeks, ending on the July 24, and you can enroll now to reserve your seat.

The teaching staff sport impressive CVs. Head of the course team, Matkus Noga, is also head of SAP's Leonardo Machine Learning department where he leads teams building machine learning. Other instructors include Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl, director general of DIGITALEUROPE, the leading association for the digital technology industry in Europe and Mathias Cellarius is SAP’s group data protection officer and head of Data Protection and Privacy.
