November may seem a long way off, but if you are interested in SharePoint or Office 365 it's not too soon to plan to attend SharePoint Connect being held in Amsterdam on November 18 19 & 20, 2014.

Last year's event was voted the best SharePoint Conference in Europe and the third best in the world in an independent poll and, according to its organizers "this year’s event looks set to be the best yet!".

Over 700 Microsoft SharePoint-oriented developers and IT pros attended last year’s conference in Amsterdam. It introduced a new track for Office 365 will be included again this year. Over 20 speakers will present 40 seminars and workshops in this year's event, to be held agin at the Meervaart Theatre. SharePoint Connect will also include an expo featuring over 25 vendors.

The SharePoint Connect conference is an “independent conference" run by NC Communications Ltd who have produced technology events across EMEA for over 20 years. Managing Director Nigel Clapham said:

“The team members at NC Communications are experts in producing bespoke community style events. We find that our audience is fed up with the large impersonal corporate style of conference that have seen their numbers dwindle over the years. We fill that gap by choosing venues that have a great intimate atmosphere, giving our delegates access to each other and great content from top speakers! They like to feel they are part of the conference and can have easy access to speakers during sessions and throughout the conference. This style of event is becoming more and more popular”

The conference opens with a keynote 'The Road to Office 365 and the Future of Cloud Development' from Chris Johnson, Group Product Manager on the Office 365 team at Microsoft in Redmond. In other sessions international technical writers Dan Holme and Spencer Harbar lay out the best practices for installing, upgrading, configuring, securing and managing SharePoint 2013. SharePoint developers will hear from industry gurus such as MVP and MSDN writer Wouter van Vugt and Scot Hiller, author of 10 books on Microsoft technology.

Other big-names on the schedule include Seb Matthews and Christian Buckley. The SharePoint Connect conference will also feature a strong contingent of local talent. Microsoft Certified Master, Sharepointchick.com blogger and Dutch DIWUG magazine journalist Mirjam van Olst, for example, will present a number of sessions. Similarly, Donald Hessing, one of the worlds few Microsoft Certified Masters and four-time MVP award-winner will be there alongside Albert-Jan Schot.

Prices for the two-day conference include all refreshments and lunches plus a SharePoint social evening. Prices start at €399 (ex VAT) for a Super Early Bird discount of €200 off the full price of €599 until June 30, a standard Early Bird discount of €100 off at €499 (ex VAT) during July and August and the full price of €599 (ex VAT) thereafter.
