| Microsoft Developer Blogs On The Move |

Microsoft is in the process of moving its developer blogs to a new blogging platform. The aim is to provide "a clean design and powerful features that will make it easy for you to discover and share great content". The move is starting with all the Visual Studio, Premier Developer and IoTDev blogs. The rest will follow later. The first list of blogs began moving on October 17th. According to Microsoft, the initial group to move is:
Microsoft says there'll be no need to update your bookmarks, as auto-redirects will be put in place to take you to the new URLs. RSS feeds will also keep picking up the most recent posts. Microsoft does admit that there may be some teething problems. For example, if you click on the links to other blogs in a developer blog, some will work, others will show an error because those blogs haven't yet moved, and will still be at their old locations. What's not clear yet is whether Microsoft is also demoting some of its blogs and asking the authors to move them off the Microsoft domain; some authors have made cryptic comments over recent weeks and months hinting that they're not going to make it to the new site; we'll have to wait and see what happens.
