Big Data, Yammer, and SharePoint Online are among the sessions and keynotes announced for European Office 365 Connect, which is being held on April 1st and 2nd at the Philharmonie Theatre, Haarlem, the Netherlands.
The two-day conference is for IT managers, application developers and other IT professionals who are considering, or already making, the transition to Microsoft's cloud computing products for business, which include Office 365, SharePoint Online and Exchange 365 and its latest addition Power BI for Office 365. Sessions will be based on the real-life experience of the speakers and will cover key topics for success with Office 365; including migration from on-premises to the cloud, working in hybrid environments, building and using apps, search optimization, security and identity management, incorporating Windows Azure and using PowerShell. There will also be seminars about Lync Online, Yammer and Microsoft Project Online. The conference kicks off with a keynote from Michiel Rozema on Office 365: The Value of Power BI. Microsoft launched Power BI for Office 365 last week, and Michiel will discuss the way organizations can use Office 365 to work with data living both within the organization and in the outside world, and what Power BI for Office 365 adds to the mix. Dan Holme and Agnes Molnar join the line up at European Office 365 Connect fresh from the SharePoint Conference in Vegas with sessions 10 Things to Know About Search in Office 365 presented by Agnes and SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 Upgrade and Migration: Strategy and Tactics from Dan. SharePoint has always had a big emphasis on Content Management and Search, and Agnes will demonstrate the most important Search features and capabilities in Office 365, including configuration options, centralized and delegated administration as well as Search-driven catalogs and application features. Microsoft is keen to promote Yammer, and is integrating its Yammer service with its Office 365 services. Danny Burlage has a session asking (and hopefully answering) the question, So What Does Yammer Have to Offer? He’ll explain Yammer, describe how it integrates with the Office 365 suite and give you some guidance on how to create a Yammer strategy. Meanwhile, Patrick Lamber is offering a Developer Jam with Yammer!, introducing the interface and evolution of the Yammer platform from the SharePoint developer point of view. The demos in the session will show what Yammer can actually do, and how it is already possible to create applications using the Yammer SDK that’s integrated with SharePoint Online. For further sessions from Dan and Agnes, and some of the industry’s best independent speakers visit the conference home page where you can also register.
