Zero Bugs and Program Faster (Kate Thompson Books)
Wednesday, 18 May 2016

Kate Thompson spent two years researching every bug avoidance technique she could find. This book contains the best of them. The first half of the book teaches principles through stories and anecdotes. The second half of the book dives into code, trying to teach by showing good examples including code from Bill Gates, Richard Stallman and Joe Celko.

There are examples of what not to do such as a vulnerability in the WordPress system.

Kate Thompson wrote this book for her coworkers, to tell them everything she wished they knew about software engineering. They already knew how to get the computer to do what they wanted, how to program the computer, but the team's bug tracker was growing instead of shrinking, customers were complaining about bugs, releases were late and never included all the features we promised.

If you have the same problems there are principles in his book you need to learn.
