The newly released dtSearch 7.5 adds HTML5 templates for publishing data on the Web in a searchable format.

dtSearch Web aims to offer a way of creating searchable data sites without the need for programming. It provides concurrent searching of terabytes of static and dynamic online data, including highlighted hits and many other search options. The same HTML 5 templates are used in dtSearch Publish, which lets you publish data that is “instantly searchable” on portable media.

The new release also expands dtSearch’s proprietary document filters, which provide parsing, indexing, searching and display with highlighted hits of a large variety of data formats. The dtSearch products for programmers, dtSearch Engine for Win & .NET and dtSearch Engine for Linux, also support the document filters. The SDKs include native 64-bit and 32-bit C++, Java and .NET APIs.

All the versions of dtSearch provide support for searching content in HTML, XML/XSL, PDF, ASP.NET, PHP, and SharePoint formats. Database formats supports include XML, Access, XBASE and CSV, as well as SQL and the ability to search full-text BLOB data. Microsoft Office formats are supported, along with the ability to search both emails and attachments in Outlook and Exchange, and in Thunderbird. Hit highlighting is supported in all formats.

The enterprise and developer products can index over a terabyte of text in a single index, spanning multiple directories, emails and attachments, online data and other databases. Spider support in dtSearch products offers federated searching across any number of directories, emails (with nested attachments), and databases, with . The dtSearch Spider adds local and remote, static and dynamic online content to a search. The Spider can index sites to any level of depth, with support for public and private or secure online content.
