New Year's Eve With Nao

Aldebaran Robotics is inviting you to spend New Year's Eve with its cute boy-sized robot with the charming French accent. In this video you decide how you and Nao will while away the time.

The first scene of the video sees a visitor ring a doorbell to be greeted by Nao. In the very next scene it is already morning and Nao asks if you remember what you did last night!

So it was a typical New Year's Eve!

From here you make a series of choices to reconstruct your New Year's Eve adventure in Paris with Nao. Depending on the choices you'll skip to points in the video and may get to see Paris by night.

OK this doesn't provide any new information about Nao but it is a reminder of its ability to hold an engaging conversation with a human which gives it such a useful role in education, particularly of autistic children, as well as in human-machine research.

So Happy New Year to You, Nao and hope we see more of you during 2014!
