Telerik has been updated with new components for Blazor, .NET MAUI, and WinForms, as well as support for .NET 7 and accessibility improvements. Progress Telerik consists of an extensive collection of components that can be used to build apps for .NET, web and hybrid environments. The first set of improvements are in Progress Telerik UI for Blazor, which has new UI components including Signature, Avatar, Chip and ChipList. There are also updates to the Data Grid with a new compact mode and adaptive rendering in date and select-type components. Progress says that this new feature (which has also been added to the UI for .NET MAUI) addresses the need for a “dense or compact-size” grid, which renders more items by utilizing the available space. The Progress Telerik UI for .NET MAUI has also had new components added. Progress says the library is the largest UI library for .NET MAUI. The additions include components for Toolbar, ImageEditor, ProgressBar, Accordion and SignaturePad. Progress Telerik UI for WinForms adds a new Windows 11 theme that the developers say delivers a smoother look and feel to WinForms apps. The support for .NET 7 means it is supported across all relevant Telerik UI libraries and tools, and the accessibility improvements have been added to meet compliance standards such as WAI-ARIA, Section 508, and WCAG 2. Elsewhere, Progress has released enhancements and new components for .NET web, mobile and desktop development across its UI libraries, including Telerik UIs for ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET AJAX, Xamarin, WPF, WinForms and WinUI. Telerik Reporting has also been updated to offer a better native Blazor Report Viewer for C# developers. The developers say that it: "brings a fluent user experience that blends with the rest of your Blazor application using the same input controls and stylization mechanism." The latest release adds infinite scroll and search through the report content, back-and-forth navigation from a drill-through report, and Tooltips interactivity. Telerik R1 2023 is available now.
