In his 5-star review of JavaScript Patterns our reviewer, Mike James described it as

"a really enjoyable book - it's short, easy-to-read and you are likely to learn something from every page

"This is now my official number one intermediate to advanced Javascript book - highly recommended."

It was duly selected as one of IProgrammer's Best Books of 2010 and O'Reilly kindly offered five copies for the winners of our prize draw.

In order to be entered into the draw you had to correctly identify which of five occupations (Plumber, Mechanic, Decorator, Electrician, Carpenter) is the name of a classical Gang of Four design pattern. In fact 97% of the entrants made the correct choice which shows that they were paying attention.

The five lucky winners, Jerome Hicks, Paul Stacey, Amr Ellafy, Jongtack Lee and Steve Robillard, have been notified by email and will be sent their copies once they confirm their choices for print or digital versions of the book.

Look out for more chances to win prizes in the very near future.
