Google Body Revitalized as Zygote Body

Body Browser, one of the casualties of the Google Labs closure, is back online hosted by Zygote, the company that provided the imagery for Google Body Browser.

It is no surprise that Zygote Body looks the same as its predecessor, since it was Zygote that provided the imagery for Google Body Browser and it still uses the open source 3D viewer developed by Google.

Body Browser started as a project built by Google engineers in their "20 percent time" and was used by Google to promote Chrome's support for WebGL. The app also worked in Firefox and it was ported to Android Honeycomb. As yet there's no Android app for Zygote Body but one is promised.

Zygote Body can be slow to load unless you have a good Internet connection but it is worth the wait. Zygote is committed to making the experience of using the product better - just making it faster would be a big step forward.
