Secure Code Warrior is to host its third annual Devlympics secure coding competition on October 17-18, 2023. Devlympics is a free tournament of coding challenges for developers of all levels of expertise.

Secure Code Warrior provides software to enterprise organizations with 50 or more developers to aid in the development of secure code. The company also publishes an annual survey of developer-centric security.

The Devlympics tournament sees developers from around the world participating in coding challenges. The winner will be crowned, "The Ultimate Warrior" and receive recognition and prizes.

Hosted on Secure Code Warrior's agile learning platform, this year the Ultimate Warrior Arena features tournaments covering API, Web, Mobile, Cloud, Front-End and Mashups. Participants can tackle offensive and defensive challenges in preferred languages, and see their teams compete on the international leaderboard.

This is the third year the competition has been held, and Secure Code Warrior has added new language:frameworks and challenges. For the first time, Devlympics is introducing a brand-new "Boss Level," where developers can unlock challenges twice as difficult to combat real security defenses. Participants will have a direct attacking path to identify potential weaknesses in an organization's cybersecurity defense.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three players in each tournament category who attain the highest score during the Devlympics 2023. The winner will receive $350, second place $250 and third place $150. The award of Devlympics 2023 Ultimate Warrior will be awarded to the player who earns the most accumulated points across all played tournaments in the Ultimate Warrior Arena, with a prize of $2,000 USD.

Entrants need to register by October 17. The Devlympics will commence at 17th October 2023 at 8:30AM (PDT) and will run for 24 hours.

Ahead of the tournament, registered entrants can join fellow developers in the Secure Code Forum Discord server, which provides a way to interact with fellow competitors, share feedback, stay connected with peers and discuss coding best secure practices.
