Gradle has launched a free developers' learning portal. What can you except from it? We look at its range of courses. Developer Productivity Engineering University, DPE, for short, aims to boost developer productivity by hosting courses that teach how to get the most out of Gradle and Maven build tools, as well as Develocity, Gradle's productivity platform for large-scale development teams. While you'll find courses dedicated to the Gradle and Maven build tools, most are intermingled with Develocity; therefore if you are a Develocity user you will certainly get the most out of it. So the Gradle related courses are: Introduction to Gradle for Developers Incremental Builds and Build Caching with Gradle Gradle Build Cache Deep Dive How to Use Build Scan Incremental Builds and Build Caching with Gradle and Develocity Maintaining Optimal Gradle Build Cache Performance The Maven ones: Maven Build Cache Deep Dive Maintaining Optimal Maven Build Cache Performance And a few other solely about Develocity. At the moment there's 10 courses with more coming up. All courses are self paced, hands on with exercises.You can pick any course to start learning or follow a Learning Path for a more directed educational experience. You also earn certificates upon course completion to showcase your skills. In any case it's best to start off with the 40minutes "Introduction to DPE University" to get a hang of how the platform is structured. As an extra incentive to join, all courses are presented by the Gradle training team, including Java Champions Trisha Gee, Brian Demers, and Baruch Sadogursky! To conclude, if you are a Java or Kotlin developer, going through DPE will enable you to speed up and debug your builds to increase efficiency multifold.
