In October's poll we posed the question of how you should go about a career as a developer. The response was overwhelming with almost half of you choosing the "Just do it!" option.
The second most popular choice was to gain a computer science degree - and if you add together the two degree categories they total 33% - a third.
Surprisingly certification came in with just 4% of the votes - tying in last place with becoming a Community Guru. Starting an Open Source Project gained 27% of the votes - and that can be seen as a another way of just getting on with it - which therefore seems even more popular.

The November poll is about what's the next big thing for web development. However before you cast your vote read How do you write a Web App? which looks at the pros and cons of each of the contenders.
