For the second year running HackXLR8 will take place in the middle of
London Tech Week. The challenge for this two-day hackathon is to create an app, a prototype or develop a smart and connected idea around one of the HackXLR8 themes: IoT, Smart Mobility and GreenTech. Startups, developers, designers and tech enthusiasts will have the opportunity to present their winning projects on the main stage of TechXLR8.

Last year HackXLR8 had more than 400 Registrants, 13 Final Demos and 3 Winners. For more about last year's London Tech Week watch this video of its highlights:

The winning team will receive £2,000 and two challenge partners are also offering prizes by way of mentoring sessions and marketing guidance. Digi.me is offering a programme worth £5.000 for competitors who build an app using its platform and data with a focus on social, financial, health and wearables data. URBAN-X will provide 5 one-hour sessions with its principals covering technical, go-to-market, marketing and communications guidance and two winning concepts addressing its challenge areas, like mobility, energy, and real estate, will be provided introductions to its international network with the intention of bringing their concepts to life.
