After six months of testing, the doors have now opened on LinkedIn's JavaScript platform for integrating LinkedIn with other websites. In addition to support for OAuth 2.0 and Javascript APIs, this release also includes LinkedIn's new Plugins that can be customized and embedded on your website with minimal effort.

Although LinkedIn is coming late to the party compared to Facebook and Twitter its more professional character may mean that that both LinkedIn members and business-oriented website will quickly embrace this new button.
