Mozilla wants us move from using the web to making the web. It has launched Webmaker, an online project with new and existing tools from Mozilla and plans a summer of collaborative and community events.

Mozilla Webmaker aims to create an generation of webmakers by providing:

  • 1) Tools including Popcorn for web video, Hackasaurus for remixing and, coming soon, Thimble for creating web pages.
  • 2) Projects, how-tos and recipes, designed to help people at all levels  - from tweaking your blog template to building apps
  • 3) Community events, meet-ups and hack jams
