New XAML and HTML Controls in NetAdvantage Ultimate 2013

The latest release of Infragistic's subscription-based user interface and user experience toolsets introduces  NetAdvantage for Windows UI and includes Indigo Studio.

As we reported when it was launched in November 2012 Indigo Studio is, Infragistics'  free-to-download design tool for  creating rapid, interactive UI prototypes of desktop, web, and mobile applications and has integrated story boarding.  It is now included as part of NetAdvantage Ultimate 13.1. However, Version 1.x will continue to be free.

The main new feature of this release is NetAdvantage for Windows UI, a  new toolset that includes more than 20 XAML and HTML controls to develop native Windows 8 apps.

 

 

Across the suite of products -  jQuery/HTML5, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, Silverlight, WPF,NucliOS and Windows UI - key controls have been optimized for touch and there is now more control and feature parity across the XAML, Ignite UI, and NucliOS products including a new cross-platform Radial Gauge control.

 

 

Specific improvements in components of the suite include: 

  • NucliOS (for iPad and iPhone development)

Enhancements to the Grid and Chart controls including a new Pie Chart

Xamarin.iOS (MonoTouch) bindings integration for development in C#

  • Ignite UI (HTML5/jQuery toolkit)

Responsive web design framework and controls support to  handle how screen is resized for different devices

Pivot Grid

Tile Manager UI

New Data Visualization charting controls that offer more parity across platforms

Support for KnockoutJS MVVM library controls including Grid, Tree, Combo, and Editors.

  • NetAdvantage for Silverlight and WPF

Advanced features for XAML Geographic Map including support for Esri's ArcGIS

Doughnut Chart control for charting multiple series

RTM release of  Syntax Parsing Engine

Enhancements to Gantt, and Data Chart controls
